Conectados Pela Vida actively participated in the 6th Global Congress on Behavioral Addictions (GCBA), which was held in Istanbul on May 13–14, 2025, under the leadership and coordination of the Turkish Green Crescent (Yeşilay).

The Global Congress brought together scientists, policymakers, and representatives from civil society organizations across continents to exchange the latest research findings and practical experiences in the field of behavioral addictions. The event marked a continuation of the 5th International Congress on Technology Addiction, further broadening its focus to include a wide spectrum of behavioral health challenges.

Representing Green Crescent Brazil, Dr. Alexandre Kieslich da Silva, President of Conectados Pela Vida, delivered an insightful presentation titled “Gambling Disorder and the Online Betting Boom in Brazil: A Clinical Perspective.” In his address, Prof. da Silva shared key clinical observations on the increasing prevalence of gambling-related problems in Brazil, analyzing the social and psychological impacts of the rapid growth of online betting platforms. His contribution was highly valued by participants for highlighting an emerging public health concern that resonates globally.
